Calculation of maternity benefit

Calculation of maternity benefit

Question:
Hello!
I work in a company where I have been self-sufficient for half a year on an eight-hour working day at the minimum wage. Until then, my employer provided me with a four-hour working day, but since I wanted to be insured for a larger amount, I switched to an eight-hour working day, with half of the contribution for my insurance paid by myself. I am about to go on sick leave as I am pregnant. I don't know if I should continue to contribute this amount that I have been contributing up to now on my own and if it will play any role in the money that I will receive in hospital and later stage for maternity.
Thanks in advance!

compensation in case of temporary incapacity for work, pregnancy, maternity leave, NISI calculator, accounting services, Varna, Ruse, Plovdiv, Burgas, Sofia
Answer:
Hello,
The amount you are insured on affects the eventual amount of benefits you will receive (including maternity benefit). I.e. if you are insured for eight hours, then you are insured for a higher amount and, accordingly, your compensation will be higher.

We attach a link to the NOI website, where there is a calculator with which you can calculate the estimated maternity benefit, based on the current insurance income and the possible insurance income until the time of going on sick leave for pregnancy and childbirth: https://noi.bg /eservicesbg/reports/reportsegn/3320-calcbenefits
We hope we have been helpful!
Greetings!
