I have a company that I shut down last year. Today the accountant tells me that accounting and VAT must be completed. Can it be checked if it is suspended from activity and accordingly should something be closed and carried out on this company? I will provide the name and bullstat of the company.

If the company was active in 2022, regardless of whether it was stopped at some stage during the year, then it is subject to annual closure and your accountant is correct. Through bulstat, we cannot check whether the company had or had no activity, as well as what and when it was submitted regarding VAT returns. For this purpose, you need a power of attorney, which your accountant probably has.
