Receiving compensation when the baby is born abroad
Receiving compensation when the baby is born abroad
Question:
Hello!
I work under an employment contract and have continuous health rights. I am pregnant and I have a 45-day sick leave before giving birth. My husband is Italian and wants me to give birth in Italy. I have read the documents that we need to take to the personal doctor so that he can issue the second sick leave when I give birth.
1. Translated birth certificate with personal identification number
2. Declaration that the child is alive and not given up for adoption
3. Document about the used maternity leave in Bulgaria
4. Copy of the employment contract and an official note from the insurer that I am working in the company!
All these documents must be taken to the insurer for a stamp and signature and then taken to the personal doctor to issue the second sick leave?
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!
Answer:
Hello,
You have correctly understood that your employer is obliged to submit your sick leave and the relevant attachments to the National Social Security Institute. You must provide him with the relevant documentation for the birth of the child, which is issued to you by the Italian hospital, which must be translated into Bulgarian by a licensed translator.
We hope that we have been useful to you!
Greetings!
