Online pet shop

Online pet shop

Question:
Hello!

I want to open an online pet shop. There will be merchandise dropshipped from merchants and merchandise in stock.

Will I need a warehouse document?
Is VAT registration required? If the company is not registered for VAT, will I be able to receive an invoice from the traders from whom I buy the goods?
I work on a permanent contract, will it be a problem to continue working while I develop the online store?
Will I have to pay insurance for the first months while I stock the store?
I will announce myself on Facebook and Google.

I know that I can work without a cash register with PPP with one of the courier companies, but will I be able to make a free delivery in my city (with a personal car for example) without a cash register?
Thanks in advance!

Answer:

Hello,

* There is no requirement to have a warehouse.

* If you are going to use Facebook and Google services for advertising, you will have to register for VAT under a specific regime. In this case, you will not owe VAT on your sales, but you will owe VAT on the value of the services received from Facebook, Google and other companies that are not registered in Bulgaria. If your sales exceed BGN 50,000 for the last 12 months, you will be registered for VAT on a general basis, which means that you will have to start charging VAT on your sales in Bulgaria as well. If you make sales outside of Bulgaria, there is another mode of registration - upon reaching turnover from sales to natural persons within the European Union for the current year of 10 thousand euros.

* There is no obstacle to invoices being issued to you by the companies you buy from, even though your company is not registered for VAT.

* There is no problem combining working on an employment contract and being the owner and manager of a company (unless you are a government employee or there is no express clause in the employment contract you signed that prohibits this).

* You will owe insurance for the period in which your company operates. Loading the store is considered a company activity - ie. you will owe insurance for this period.

* If you are going to make sales, accepting cash, you will need to have a cash register - this also includes cases in which you deliver goods with your personal car and receive payments in cash.

We hope we have been helpful!

Greetings!
