Cosmetic services as a freelance profession
Cosmetic services as a freelance profession
Question:
Hello!
I currently work in a private company - 8 hours a day, from Monday to Friday. They insure me on the whole salary. I want to practice another activity / beautician/, as I want to rent a place in a salon. Is it possible to be an ET and pay patent tax? What would be best in my case?
Thanks in advance!
Answer:
Hello,
We recommend you, if you have the opportunity, to register as a self-employed person and thus carry out your activity. As a freelancer you will also be able to pay patent tax, but the administrative burden is less than an ET. A little more information about free professions and registration requirements can be found on the NRA website at this link - https://nra.bg/wps/portal/nra/taxes/godishen-danak-varhu-dohdite/svobodni-profesii
The following question will probably arise - the fact that you are already insured under an employment contract does not cancel your obligation to self-insure for the time during which you carry out your activity as a self-employed person. The option in which this obligation is waived is if you are already insured with the maximum insurance income from the employment contract or if you are already self-insured on some other basis.
We hope we have been helpful!
Greetings!
