Company Manager with a Personal Driver
Company Manager with a Personal Driver
Question:
Hello!
I have a company EOOD for which I need a company car. In order to declare the fuel costs of the car, a waybill must be filled out. Since I do not have a driver's license, I want to use my son as a driver, but he is not an employee of the company. He will not receive payment for this service and I will have to enter him in the waybill. My question is: Can I authorize an external person to drive a company/company car? How would I proceed in this situation?
Thanks in advance!
Answer:
Hello,
There is no way to use car expenses in a company where there is no person who has a driver's license. If you want your son to drive the car and at the same time report expenses for this car through the company, you will have to appoint him as a driver. If the company authorizes an external person to drive the car, this means either that it has rented it out - i.e. you must report income from car rental, or that you have hired the person to perform work - as a driver, which means paying him a salary and insurance.
We hope that we have been useful to you!
Greetings!
