Termination of a fixed-term employment contract during sick leave
Termination of a fixed-term employment contract during sick leave
Question:
Hello!
A pensioner appointed on a fixed-term contract goes on sick leave for an operation. The fixed-term contract expires during the first sick leave. Is the contract considered to be terminated when the term expires, and if so, will compensation be due only for the days until the end of the term contract?
Thanks in advance!
Answer:
Hello,
Your employer has the right to release you after the term of your contract has expired, but you will receive compensation from NOI for the full period of the sick leave, including the days in which you are already terminated.
We hope we have been helpful!
Greetings!
