Registering a company and working on an employment contract in another

Question:
Hello!

I am currently the manager of a company - I am on an employment contract. I want to register a company of which I will be the owner and manager. Do I need to be additionally insured in the new company? Or maybe I don't pay insurance for myself?
Thanks in advance!

Answer:
Hello,
As the owner and manager of a company, there is an obligation to self-insure. This obligation would be waived in two cases:
1. You are already self-insured on some other basis - as the owner and manager of another company or as a self-employed person
2. Your employment contract provides you with the maximum insurance income (BGN 3,400.00 as of today).
If you do not meet one of these two conditions, your insurance will be mandatory. Your minimum monthly insurance contributions would be around BGN 200.00 (calculated on the basis of the minimum insurance income at the moment - BGN 710.00)
We hope we have been helpful!
Greetings!
