Hospital during pregnancy. Yes or No.
Hospital during pregnancy. Yes or No..
Question :
Hello I have a question about a hospital during pregnancy.
I am currently pregnant at 5 months and my employer wants to go to hospital because it would be better for him.
The salary we get under contract is the minimum.
My question is this earlier hospital exit before the statutory 45 days, will it affect the motherhood I will take later.
Answer:
Hello,
For the event you expect, you will receive two types of benefits. The first is a pregnancy and childbirth benefit, which is paid for 410 calendar days (45 days before delivery and 365 days after birth). The second is a cash benefit for raising a child up to the child's 2 years of age. And while the second indemnity is permanent and does not depend on your earnings in previous periods (determined annually with the adoption of the SOC budget - for 2014 it is set at BGN 340), the first indemnity (410 days) is sets 90 per cent of the average daily gross remuneration for a period of 18 calendar months preceding the month of commencement of pregnancy and childbirth leave (or average daily insured income on which contributions have been paid)
This means that if during the 18 months mentioned above you are using hospital (they are 80 percent of the previous 18 months' salary) your gross salary fixing the cash benefit in 410 the days will fall unless the hospital for general illness interferes with the one for pregnancy and childbirth and there is no interruption between them. Then, 18 months before the first hospital (for a general illness) is taken into account for the calculation of the hospital for pregnancy and childbirth. If there is a break between hospital lists, the basis for calculating the compensation will fall.
