Our company rents warehouse space and premises. Our client has not paid his rent for a year - 2020. We filed a lawsuit against him, which we won. The court has made a decision - that the debtor's belongings located in the rented premises should be sold through a public auction in order to receive the amounts due. The court has ordered - until we find a customer for the item being sold, we will receive remuneration for the stay and security of the item being sold /for the period January 2021 - April 2022/. At the end of last year /2020/, after an auction, the item was sold. In the 2021 report, I have recognized income based on the court's decision to receive remuneration and the fact that we have a buyer who won the auction. The item was taken by the buyer at the end of April 2022 with a receipt - transmission protocol. The amount for which the item was sold is insufficient to satisfy our claims for unpaid rent. As a privileged creditor, we have only received the sums ordered by the court for stay and security for the period /15,000 BGN including VAT/ and the costs of the court case /1,000/ BGN. To whom should I issue an invoice for the sum of 15,000 BGN? We receive the money from the PSI account. Shall I issue an invoice to him?

Hello,
The invoice must be issued to your already former customer. In reality, you are providing the "service" (remuneration for stay and security) to him. The fact that you receive the money from the PSI does not matter.
Naturally, if the court decision states that the PSI itself owes you such remuneration, and not your former client, then you will issue the invoice to the PSI. But so far we are not aware of such a practice. We hope we have been helpful!
