Builder abroad

Builder abroad

Question:
Hello!
I have been working with my own company in the Netherlands and Belgium for over 11 years.
Is it possible to open a company in Bulgaria and work through it in the Netherlands and Belgium?
Can I work as a builder and invoice by the hour?
Thanks in advance!

A1 certificate, construction company, social security contributions due in Bulgaria, accounting services, Varna, Ruse, Plovdiv, Burgas, Sofia

Answer:
Hello,
What the law allows is the following - you can register a company in Bulgaria in your name and be the manager of this company. Accordingly, as a manager, you can be seconded to another EU country, where you can work under a previously concluded contract with your client. However, in order to be insured in Bulgaria, you will need to be issued an A1 certificate. With it, you will be able to pay insurance premiums in Bulgaria, in accordance with Bulgarian legislation. This can happen for a period of up to two years. To be issued such a certificate, at least 25% of your personal income in the last 12 months must have come from Bulgaria and you must also have been insured in Bulgaria for at least two months before your assignment abroad. Without this certificate, you will have to be insured in the country where you work, according to their rules.
We hope we have been useful to you!
Best regards!
